application process
The First Baptist Church Foundation makes grants to qualified nonprofit mission minded organizations and individuals serving the cause of Christ through a variety of ministries. Grant awards are determined through an application process by the Foundation Board. Grants are awarded on quarterly cycles occurring in March, June, September and December. Grant recipients are not eligible for reapplication until the fourth cycle following the cycle in which the most recent grant was awarded. Information regarding all grants made by Foundation becomes a matter of public information and recipient organizations are encouraged to publicly acknowledge the Foundation's support.
grant priorities
The Foundation generally awards grants with priority given to those applicants that:
1. Demonstrate the potential significant and long-term impact achieved by their funding project,
2. Communicate a clear plan for timely implementation,
3. Demonstrate that the project cannot be accomplished without external funding, and
4. Exhibit effective and resourceful fundraising practices, such as matching grants and contributions from other donors.

application procedure
An organization wishing to apply for a grant must fully complete and submit one (1) copy of the Application for Funding to the Foundation no later than the due dates of February 15 for the March cycle, May 15 for the June cycle, August 15 for the September cycle and November 15 for the December cycle. Upon receiving the Application, the Foundation will conduct a review. Applicants will be notified in writing of the results of their Application in late March, June, September or December respective of their submission.
confirmation and follow-up
Within six (6) months of the award of a grant, the recipient organization must report to the Foundation confirming the use of the grant funds in accordance with the application for which the grant was awarded and advising the status of the outcomes from the use of grant funds. The organization must respond to any requests for information from the Foundation for historical and trend analysis.
